Laptop BOOTMGR is missing, using installations dvd to restore windows and repair startup problem. After windows repaired we find that;

• display properties is missing.
• connections using celcom broadband usb drive changed and made windows unstable ( display become 8 bit) and unable to made connections.

• After discuss with clients we perform a full format and all problems solved.

LCD replacement, windows hang on starting windows & hangs on startup disk check.

Task;

1. Replacing the faulty LCD panel. – successful
2. Repair windows genuine problem – successful
3. Repair windows error regarding starup hang on starting windows page & hangs on start up disk check – successful

For task 3;

• After checking we find that the startup diskcheck checking the D: drive, so we disable thru registry and thats solved the issues;
  • how to disable check disk at startup
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
    • disable automatic disk checking at Windows startup through registry, go to the following registry key:In the right hand pane, double click BootExecute. The default value of the key is autocheck autochk *
    • * means every drive is checked for consistency. Just add /K:D at the end before *. /K switch will disable autocheck on D: drive at Windows startup. So the final value should look like this: autocheck autochk /k:D*

windows problem on vectra vei8 ( pentium III)

This unit is considered obsolete models &  discontinued, as im tying my best to repair this unit to push its life to the limits

• It tooks me almost 2 weeks to finish wit this units,
  • Installations always hang halfway (  i did more than 10 times attempt to format  this units) yet failed.
    • change RAM module, change cd-Rom  still hang halfway.
  • Today, for my last attempt, after using other RAM modules and original windows xp cd we sucesfully install windows.
