Pc Slow, hang and took more time to process each tasks, infected with so many viruses. the original operating systems is Vista, instead of cleaning the virus and repair the os, we suggest to use  the latest operating system that is more stable and faster.

After installing the more stable windows that is windows 7 , there is only one driver that is not recognize by the system that is the Ricoh Card reader – we download from official support page ( the vista driver).

We also install the more reliable antivirus (Kaspersky Antivirus).

After finish  format the laptop we discover that;

• the wireless is not detected after a while, and
• when audio files or video is play, we can hear a scratching sound and lagging.

We concluded that following is the best way to rectify the matters

what we did is;

1. Force install or the wireless driver from device manager by upgrading the driver.
2. Install the latest audio driver from acer driver page.
3. Install all other driver according to the operating system installed.
4. If the above steps failed – upgrade BIOS then repeat the above steps.

Details testing and troubleshoot findings;

• Hardware test;.
• tested RAM, harddisk, mobo all OK.
• we inspect and replace the coolant paste and loosen the processor heat sink srew
• we suspect this is the reason of the unplanned  shutdown – still shutdown on itself.
• Try to replace the PSU ( 3.5.11; 18.00 – 19.00)
• After hours leaves the computer ON and the auto shutdown problem is fixed.

windows problem on vectra vei8 ( pentium III)

This unit is considered obsolete models &  discontinued, as im tying my best to repair this unit to push its life to the limits

• It tooks me almost 2 weeks to finish wit this units,
  • Installations always hang halfway (  i did more than 10 times attempt to format  this units) yet failed.
    • change RAM module, change cd-Rom  still hang halfway.
  • Today, for my last attempt, after using other RAM modules and original windows xp cd we sucesfully install windows.

Power masuk tetapi windows restart dan berulang pada loading startup, kami lakukan bios checkup dan didapati;

• DVD Rom tidak berjaya dikenalpasti oleh system;
  • kami perlukan dvd untuk sebagai boot devices supaya data-data dr c: dapat dipindahkan untuk proses membaiki windows, pemilik mahukan windows baru.
  • kami menguji kerosakan perkakasan
    • dvd Rom didapati  OK.
    • IDE cable OK.
  • Reset CMOS setting ( clear CMOS) – DVD Rom berjaya dibaca kembali oleh system)
• Backup – Format – restore.
